Here's how I play hardway parlays. Whenever any shooter rolls a hard 6 on any comeout roll for a new passline point, I bet the hard 8 and keep parlaying it until I lose the bet. Whenever any shooter rolls a hard 8 on any comeout roll for a new passline point, I bet the hard 6 and parlay it until I lose the bet.
Say the shooter throws a hard 6 and this makes his passline number 6. I bet $5 on the hard 8. If it hits, then I parlay the $50. If it hits again I parlay the $500. Most casinos will let the total payout on any single bet be no more than a total of 3 times the table limit. If I'm at a $2000 maximum table from $500 I can usually go to $600 and I have to take down $4400 (after the $500 bet wins). If I'm at a $2500 maximum table I can usually go to $750 and I have to take down $4250. I leave the maximum bet up until I lose it on a soft number or a seven out.
Recently I added this... If I hit when I have $500 or higher up I'll also add a $100 hardway on the opposite number that I don't have a hardway bet on. In the above example if I hit the $500 hard 8, I would add a $100 hardway 6 bet. If this $100 hardway bet hits, I only double it and take down the rest. I will keep doubling it until I get to the house limit. Then I would leave it up until I lose it. So far I've only hit one time on the new $100 hardway bet. I then went to $200 and took down $800.
You can start with any amount. You can start with $1. You could parlay it to $10 and then to $100. From there you could double it to $200 to $400 to the $600 maximum. You could go from $1 to $10. From there you could double on each hit from $10 to $20 to $40 to $80 etc. You can vary it any way that you wish. It's best to at least parlay it after the first hit. This way you will get to higher payouts quicker.
Here's how I parlay all naturals on any comeout roll. I bet $5 on the passline. I will keep doubling it on all comeout 7s & 11s. Say a shooter rolls a 7. I parlay the $10. I will keep parlaying to $20 to $40. Now the shooter rolls a passline number. I don't make a collection unless he makes the number. If he does I collect $40 instead of $5. Now I leave the $40 on the passline. If he comes out with more 7s & 11s, I would keep doubling it to $80 to $160 to $320 to $640 to $1280 to the usual $2000 table limit. I need the shooter to complete or make another passline number to make a collection. I always keep the passline bet up. If the shooter rolls a craps, I start over at whatever level my next passline betting level is like $5, $10 or $15.
Here's a recent variation to this second method. I started using it at tables that have 5 times or higher odds. Say I'm at a 5 times odds table. I parlay all comeout naturals from $5 to $10 to $20 to $40. Now I will take down $30 and leave up $10. I will still parlay any more comeout naturals until I get to $40 again. Now the shooter rolls a number. I add the $30 I took down to my usual $10 starting odds bet. I now will have a $10 passline bet with $40 odds. If the shooter makes the passline point and comes out with another passline point, I would go to my next betting level. For me this would be a $10 passline bet with $50 odds now. If I'm playing at tables with 10 times or higher odds, I wait until I get up to $80 and then I take down $70 and add it to my next odds bet. The advantage to this variation is that if the shooter rolls a craps number, it doesn't hurt as much as with the first style. Also you can collect more money on odds bets than on the passline bet. The disadvantage is when the shooter rolls more comeout naturals. Say you get to $40 and take down $30. Now the shooter completes a passline number. Now you still have $10 on the passline instead of the $40 you would have had if you didn't take down $30. Now the shooter rolls more comeout naturals. Instead of parlaying from $40 to $80 to $160 to $320 you have to start over from $10 to $20 to $40 to $80.
Here's how I play a parlay every time that I shoot. I like the 10s. I'll buy the 10 for $25. I'll parlay it to $75 to $225 to $675 to $2000. Four hits gets a $25 10 to $2000. On a 5th hit I collect $4000 and leave $2000 up until I lose it. You can pick any number and starting amount you like. For example you like 6s. You only want to start with a $6 six. You could go from $6 to $12 to $24 to $48. Now say this level is high enough for you. I suggest you keep on slowly progressing, but you can stop anywhere you like. I would go from $48 to $60 to $90 to $120 to $180 to $240 to $300 to $420 to $600 etc. You can also go from $48 to $54 to $60 to $72 to $90 to $120 to $150 to $180 etc. Pick any number you like. Pick any starting amount and top betting level you like. I have had many huge wins with the above 3 mini methods. The math says you will lose with any betting methods you use and these are no exception. YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO LOSE. YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO LOSE MORE MONEY THAN YOU WIN. YOU SHOULD EXPECT LONG LOSING STREAKS. When I was averaging 4 hours a session, 4 days a week I went over 8 months in between completing three bet hardway parlays. I COULD HAVE EASILY HAVE GONE A LOT LONGER BEFORE WINNING. I HAVE BEEN VERY LUCKY WITH THE ABOVE 3 MINI METHODS. I don't want you to think that it is easy and you will get rich. There are some very long dry spells. For an occasional player that could have been a lifetime without completing the three bet hardway parlays.
If you use any of the methods remember you can vary them any way that you like. You should never use more than 10% of you session bankroll with any type of longshot parlays or plays. 5% would probably be a better amount. You should always play within your bankroll level, your risk level, and your comfort level. Play for the money and not to impress anyone. Going from $1 to $10 to $20 to $30 to $40 on a hardway parlay might be all the excitement and risk you are comfortable with. If that applies to you then this should be your top betting limits.
Good luck. Eddie Gorniak Jr. EGorniak@aol.com
