Working history of Russ Williams

I've worked many jobs with many fine people. I've developed a boatload of skill and knowledge.

1980-1984
US Navy  U.S.S. Mobile (LKA 115)
I was an engineman in A-div homeport long beach California. My LPO was MM1 Angeles. Sr. Chief Redondo. Ensign Kuel.
1984-1985
David Bergs (was at 14th place Chicago)
Does anybody remember the "REAL" Maxwell St.? Yep, that's where I worked!
1985-1985
Card-O-Link Co.(1948 RIDGE AVE. EVANSTON, IL)
This place did metal sign etching. I was young and stupid. It was my job to dump waste chemicals into the public sewage system. I worked here 44 days. The property is now owned by Northwestern University.
1985-1987
Realemon (Borden)
I worked for this fine company when lemon juice was Realemon and that was that. The joint closed down and now the building is a metal fabrication business "Midland". Frank Lubi was one of the best bosses I've had the pleasure to work with. Now the company is owned by Motts Inc.
LOH Optical 1987-1992
LOH Optical (Morton grove Il.)
A distributor of German made lens cutting machines. I was an apprentice technician.
1992-1993
Oscar Mayer (Chicago)
Yes, the wiener people. I worked in the "Lunchables" department as a line mechanic. I was working in the "original" plant on Segwick. It's all gone now.

1993-1993
Doing time working temp positions in Tennessee
Replas plastic recycling - They turned plastic bags into plastic pellets.
Paramount Packaging - They printed plastic wrappers
Ingram publishing - A huge book distributor. I bought a ton of Microsoft Press books at GREAT discount.

1993-1998
CCL Custom Mfg, (was Barr Company, Niles, Il.)
I worked as a line mechanic making Cascade Liquigel. I was there when Proctor & Gamble poured a ton of money into an enzyme product that just wouldn't work. Gill Conde IS the BEST maintenance supervisor I've EVER known. I hope to bump into him again some time. The electrician Freddy Kashaba is a real-estate developer now and making tons of green. He also runs "Freddy's Electrical" in the Chicago area (847) 638-8864. Tell him you know me from line 14 (Cascade).
1998-2001
CocaCola (Niles, Il.)
Lots and lots of free soda! I was a line mechanic on line 4 (glass bottles of frutopia, Minute-maid juices, and Nestea). Man, working glass really sucked.
2001-2005
TEC Specialty Products (Palatine, Il.)
Now it's Specialty Construction Brands. A nice company to be a jack of all trades at.
